Two Polish soldiers died after a road side device exploded in Afghanistan, Friday.

Sappers Radoslaw Szyszkiewicz and Szymon Graczyk died at 14. 00 CET, while a patrol was travelling between the US base in Bagram to the Polish Ghazni base in eastern Afghanistan.

I wonder if Polish Veterans of American initiated wars can get a US Green card or travel to the states with no hassle like so many countless others…

Should great artists be treated differently from ordinary mortals? Does a musician, painter, writer or filmmaker who creates soul-stirring and sublime works deserve a free pass, special dispensation, a get-out-of-jail card, so to speak?

I’m not sure what to think about this. If he broke the law, then he broke the law and there needs to be a consequence but I’m concerned about the amount of money, time, political strife and international turmoil this is causing. Why now?
