ZakoPower and it’s lead singer Sebastian Karpiel-Bulecka were deported from the US upon arrival in Chicago this weekend due to ‘Visa technicalities’. The story is not being carried by any American News/ Media Outlets. We’ll post links to news stories as the details unfold.
The Friday, Oct 2nd Event @ Honey will go on in protest of immigration laws.
We are forming a petition against the actions taken by of INS and the unfair treatment of international musicians. We are also drafting an OPEN LETTER TO PRESIDENT OBAMA to express our discontent with what happened and the Immigration System of this Country – even when it comes to famous musicians, actors, etc coming from Allied Countries such as Poland.
Join us in support of changing the immigration laws which keeps fans waiting, people dreaming and family/friends apart.
Location: Honey – 243 West 14th Street NY, NY 10011 (7th & 8th Ave)
Event starts @ 10pm, All are welcome and encouraged.
