ZAKOPOWER, one of the hottest bands in Poland, combines Polish folk music with modern rock undertones producing amazing music. Led by Karpiel-Bulecka, an extraordinarily-talented violinist, ZAKOPOWER released their first album, Music Hall in 2005. That album sold over 20,000 copies. In 2006, ZAKOPOWER was nominated for Best Polish Performer at the MTV EUROPE MUSIC AWARDS.
Their latest album, Na Siedem, which features a special number by Nigel Kennedy, won the 2008 Fryderyk Award for the best Polish ethno/folk album. ZAKOPOWERs New York concert will include their award-winning hit song “Bog wie gdzie” as well as all of their greatest hits.
